Dorset Hollow Road Race
August 23, 2020
5k · 10k
Enjoy quintessential Vermont scenery as you run through beautiful Dorset Hollow along the banks of the Mettawee River. Free participant photos, tech tees and unique finishers medals for all distances! Mostly packed dirt roads with some pavement.
Walkers are welcome! There will be a 2-hour cutoff for both distances, making the 5k especially walker-friendly!
10k runners will be treated to a rolling loop course through idyllic Dorset Hollow. You will gain and lose approximately 550' of elevation. Fast downhill/flat finish!
Course map and elevation profile for the 10k can be viewed here. 10k runners will be bused from the finish at the Long Trail School to the start ~0.8 miles down Kirby Hollow Road, unless they choose to walk. (It's pretty flat and it's a great warm-up!) Buses leave at 7:30, SHARP!! Race entry includes shuttle.
The 5k is a fast point-to-point along the back half of the 10k loop featuring over 300' of net downhill. Don't forget to enjoy the scenery as you fly by!

*Must register by August 1 to be guaranteed a shirt. Must register by August 5 to guarantee you name on your bib.
Shuttle is included in registration. Both 5k and 10k courses feature a remote start. The 10k start is roughly flat and ~.8 miles from the shuttle pickup, for those who prefer to walk or jog a warm-up rather than take the bus. Parking is at the Long Trail School, in Dorset, Vermont.
***SHUTTLES WILL LEAVE PROMPTLY AT 7:30!!!***
Do. Not. miss the shuttle. BOTH Upper and Lower Hollow roads will be closed prior to the start. Be ready to display your bib and bring what you will need for the race. There will be a sweat drop box and garbage at the 5k corral. However, if you drop it, you are donating it! Repeat--only drop stuff you don't plan to see again!
